RANDOLPH, NJ – As an open community resource center, County College of Morris (CCM) is once again presenting two more free Career Showcases, this time, to share what the best careers are in the Health Care and in Agribusiness, Horticulture, Landscaping and Design. The showcases, which are free and open to the public, will include Morris County industry salaries, job responsibilities, current demand and what education is required to succeed in those fields.

 CCM’s third Career Showcase focuses on Healthcare Occupations on Thursday, September 20, from 6 – 7 p.m. in the Davidson Rooms located in the Student Community Center, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph.  The session will cover healthcare occupations including Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Respiratory Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Paramedic Science, Dental Hygiene. Additional careers and skills related to health care, including CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) and Medical Billing and Coding will also be discussed.

 Attendees can park in Lot 6 directly across from the Student Community Center.

The fourth CCM Career Showcase will focus on careers in Agribusiness, Horticulture, Landscaping and Design and will be held onMonday, September 24, from 6 – 7 p.m. in the Landscape Horticulture Technology Building. Attendees may park in Lot 1.

The first CCM Career Showcase covered information technology, while the second in the series focused on manufacturing.

 CCM offers several associate degree programs in a variety of healthcare programs and landscape and design that are being discussed. Yet another option is to take non-credit continuing education courses to earn a certificate and qualify for entry level positions. There are many affordable paths to obtain the training for a rewarding career.

 Individuals who attend the Career Showcases will learn about those options and have the opportunity to apply right away for classes.

Healthcare programs, also known as Allied Health programs, offered at CCM include Radiography and Respiratory Therapy. The Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) program and a Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding can be obtained through CCM’s Workforce Development Continuing Professional Education Program. 

Associate degrees that CCM offers in Landscape and Horticulture Technology include Turf and Turfgrass Management, Landscape Management and Design and Agribusiness. Career Certificates are also available in Landscape Design, Landscape Contractor, Garden Center and Grounds Maintenance.
