Event is Part of Larger Wellness Initiative

Randolph, NJ-December 6, 2013 - The Randolph Middle School, Rotary Club of Randolph and Dr. David Simon of Randolph Pain Relief and Wellness Center have teamed up for a community-wide wellness initiative.  In addition to a number of health and wellness programs planned throughout the year, the three entities will be hosting “Community Wellness Day” on May 3rd, 2014 from 12:00-4:00pm in the Randolph Middle School gymnasium.

The first of its kind in Randolph, Community Wellness Day will connect residents with local businesses that focus on different forms of wellness: health, nutrition, fitness, safety and financial security are all areas that will be represented. “The opportunity to promote wellness to the entire community of Randolph Township is extraordinary,” said Dr. David Simon, CEO of the Randolph Pain Relief & Wellness Center and coordinator of the event.  Entertainment, food and door prizes will be incorporated throughout the day.
“Residents will have fun while learning about health and wellness and connecting with businesses that can provide relevant services. This first-of-its-kind collaboration is a major step forward for everyone involved and brings us closer to our shared goal of improving the health of local residents,” said Dr. Simon.

The partnership was launched November 11th in the form of a presentation and interactive workshop for the Middle School teachers on the health benefits of meditation. “The seminar was a very valuable reinforcement of how great meditation and breathing exercises can be,” said RMS teacher Kelly Bradbury. Dr. Simon has a series of these seminars planned for the teachers throughout the school year.

“The Randolph Middle School staff is looking forward to our continued partnership, and I am excited about our upcoming Wellness Fair,” said Middle School vice Principal David Kricheff in a thank you letter to Dr. Simon. Community Wellness Day will be held May 3, 2014 from 12:00-4:00pm. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Randolph Middle School Wellness Initiative.
