TheAlternativePress.com is more than an online, objective news and information site. It is a small, locally owned business designed to help other small locally owned businesses connect with town residents. TAP is also a place for the local community to get to know one another, and stay informed on everything happening in Randolph.
TAP-Randolph is managed by Wendi Manderioli, with the help of her husband Chris. Randolph's unique reader numbers are increasing daily. In the first two weeks of launch, there were more than 5,000 page views on the website.
The Randolph site also has a robust Facebook page where the paper’s articles are posted daily. Articles and posts on the Facebook page are viewed by 250-500 people a day. As a whole, TAP is currently located in multiple north and central New Jersey towns.
The site offers a variety of free opportunities for users to contribute content including free business listings, press releases, and guest columns. Users can also upload events to the calendar, and contribute to real estate listings and classified ads. Readers are encouraged to take advantage of these key features. Anyone with questions may reach out for assistance.
TAP-Randolph also offers reasonable marketing programs for site advertisers, which include: prominent and interactive ads that appear on every page of the site, feature stories about the business, premium real estate listings, premium business directory listings, premium calendar listings, press release and photos spots, and e-newsletter sponsorship opportunities. Putting events on the TAP calendar not only notifies the public of upcoming events, it also helps keep the TAP-Randolph staff apprised of what is going on in the community. In turn, it also increases the likelihood of a reporter covering an event.
In addition, TAP sends out a daily e-news blast to subscribers, with links to the daily news articles, columns and upcoming events.
TAP is always looking for news tips. Send an e-mail to email@example.com
TAP is also always looking for qualified writers. The paper offers an unpaid internship program college students seeking a for-credit internship. The program is designed to provide extensive training in journalistic concepts.
TAP is hoping to meet as many people as possible. Please invite us to attend/cover your next event and/or networking event. Please also add us to your press release lists too.
TAP is more than just an online newspaper and marketing tool, it is a networking Mecca for the whole community.
