Flanders, NJ (October 4, 2017) — In The Zone Baseball & Softball Academy has announced a Columbus Day fundraiser to aid victims of the tragedy that struck Las Vegas on Sunday, October 1st.

In The Zone Baseball & Softball Academy, located in Flanders, N.J., will be donating 50% of all lesson proceeds collected on Monday, October 9th, Columbus Day directly to the GoFundMe page set up by Clark County Commission Chair Steve Sisolak.

“There are no words to describe how heartbroken we are,” said In The Zone’s President, Marcus Ippolito.

“Since many kids are off from school, I saw this as an opportunity to do our part. It’s a day when many more kids can come in for lessons since they may be home, so it just seemed like a way for us to not only motivate baseball & softball players to get some extra work in, but help those in need at the same time.”

To date the tragedy has claimed 58 lives and over 500 injured. The  GoFundMe page has raised millions of dollars in just a few days, but considering how many families have been effected, every donation made is an important one.

Those interested in contributing by way of booking a lesson on Columbus Day should contact Joe Hofmann at joe@itz-academy.com or Taylor Bargiacchi at taylor@itz-academy.com
