RANDOLPH,NJ- Kane Gui, a sophomore in the RHS orchestra, was chosen as the Music
Student of the Month at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown.  He will be recognized at  the Sarah Chang concert this Saturday night.

Kane is a sophomore at Randolph High School and was recently awarded a seat in the Sr. High Region I Orchestra after a stringent audition process this past January.  He has formed his own string trio with two other string players from Randolph High School and they have performed on their own in several events.

At Randolph High School, Kane is a member of the Chamber Strings Ensemble and is also in the Advanced String Ensemble called "Arietta².  He studies violin in school with Eric Schaberg and privately with Norma Davis.

He is currently working on one of the most technically difficult violin solo pieces, "Dance of the Goblins" by
Antonio Bazzini.  Kane is one of the pillars in the string program at the High School and is very helpful to all of his string colleagues.
