RANDOLPH NJ-The annual Kids Cabaret show is taking place this weekend at the Brundage Park Playhouse. The show is a collection of musical number with no set story. The set is designed to look like a jazz club and with the audience are as observers of the clubs acts.
The musical numbers covered all genres of music from old standards like “Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin to rock songs like “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen. The show had a large showtune section with performances of songs from “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and “Into the Woods”
The production was directed by Alicia Vega who is a veteran of the Kids Caberet, and has returned to direct this year’s edition. After the show Vega said “Its very strange to go from being out there, to being up in the booth directing.”
The small but dedicated cast is as follows: Clare Capuzzi, Aimee Composto, Sydney Familo, Samara Fishkin, Julia Frost, McKenzie Hegarty, Michael Luciano, Kristen Onufryk, Lauren Onufryk, Elizabeth Rosato, Elizabeth Van Sciver, Sofia Wawrsyiak , and Alexa Yudoff. In additon to Alicia Vega, the Crew was rounded out with Assistant Director Zac Baccaro, Music Director Johnny Citarelli and Stage Manager Reggie Onorati.
Vega said, “The kids were great and they did a fantastic job with the performance.” The Kids Caberet continues this weekend on Saturday and Sunday with shows at 2 p.m.

The next show at Brundage Playhouse will be Hairspray, which will run from Oct. 9 to Oct.25.
