MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - To spread a little more cheer this holiday season, Tiff’s Grill & Ale House will be hosting their first ever Toy Drive, Sunday December 11. With the donation of an unwrapped toy kids will get to eat for free from 5 to 8 that evening. Tiff’s will also be serving a buffet style dinner with a $20 entry fee, a portion of which will be donated to Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown.
Tiff’s Toy Drive was inspired by seven year old Carlo Vaccarelli, who after watching the children’s hospital commercials wanted to see if he could do more to help sick kids.
"After seeing commercials on tv about sick children in different hospitals, he started asking a lot of questions," said Julie Esa, Carlo's mom. "He wanted to use all his piggy bank money to pay for a "cancer vacuum".
Carlo and his mom weren't able go to the hospital because of the germs and privacy issues, but that didn't stop them from giving back. The duo partnered up with Tiff’s Grill & Ale House and decided to host a toy drive where they could raise money and collect toys to donate to the children at Goryeb Hospital.
For suggestions on what type of toy to donate, check out the Goryeb Children's Hospital's registry by clicking HERE. This is a wish list from the hospital so they can offer their patients prizes after procedures and stock the playroom.
“Being the sensitive soul that my son Carlo is he amazes me everyday," said Esa.
Join Esa and Carlo at Tiff's this Sunday, December 11 from 5-8pm. With the donation of a toy, your child will eat FREE. The event will include Desserts by: Mo'licious, Music by: Jodi Tolomieri, and Face Painting by: Tiffany and Michelle, and of course food from Tiff’s.
