Mt. Freedom Jewish Center Hosts “Open Service” for Community on Rosh ha Shanah and Yom Kippur

“Part instructional prayer service, part support group,” is how Rabbi Menashe East, spiritual leader of the Mt. Freedom Jewish Center, Randolph, describes the Open Service scheduled for 11 am on Monday, October 3 and 11:30 on Wednesday, October 12. The High Holiday season is traditionally a time for reflection and reassessment. This informal, Open Service, encourages individuals from all types of Jewish backgrounds and levels of knowledge and observance to discover, to emote and to question in ways unlike other times of the year. The focus of this unique hour-long service, is to encourage self-reflection and change during this special time.

The Jewish community is welcome to join this gathering of discussion, “light” prayer and community. Participants do not need to be synagogue members or have a High Holiday ticket. Pre-registration, though, is required; please call David in the synagogue office at 973-895-2100 or email office@mtfjc.org.
