ROXBURY, NJ - Police are trying to find the identity of a man who was seriously injured Monday evening when he was struck by a vehicle on Route 46.

The man, believed to be about 25 years old, was struck by a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by a 34-year-old Randolph man who was traveling east, said police. They did not release the name of the driver, who was not issued any summonses.

The incident took place at about 6:50 p.m. near Second Street in the Kenvil section of the township, police said. The victim "decided to cross" the highway, crossing into the path of the pickup. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital by a New Jersey State Police helicopter.
