RANDOLPH, NJ- The Board of Education approved the appointment of Tammy MacKay as Board President on June 23. The Board of Education also approved an amendment to district policy 0152 to allow the election of two Vice Presidents on July 1, after a split board vote occurred on June 23. Ms. Allison Manfred and Dr. Robert Soni will now serve as Co-Vice Presidents. Ms. MacKay, Ms. Manfred, and Dr. Soni will serve the Board of Education in their leadership capacities until the reorganization meeting in January 2021.

The Randolph Board of Education is also seeking candidates to fill the unexpired term of Joe Faranetta, who recently resigned. Interested candidates are expected to be interviewed at the July 21 regular Board meeting in accordance with the process set forth in Board Policy 0143 (available online).

After a state mandated background check, the person selected to fill the term would take office soon after and serve through the Organization Meeting in January 2021.
