RANDOLPH COMMUNITY SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAMS

Believe it or not, summer really is coming!  Are you ready?  Have you considered what your children would like to do this summer?  The Randolph School District's Community School summer enrichment programs and summer camps offer a solution to the summer “brain-drain” and “there’s nothing to do” syndromes.  Registration is in full swing right now!  We offer a variety of programs with a focus on fun and education for parents looking for full-day care or just a half-day program.

Our three summer camps offer children a great variety of age-appropriate educational and fun enrichment activities, trips, presenters and lots of socializing with old and new friends.  Camps operate from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM giving working parents peace of mind knowing that their children are enjoying themselves in a safe, nurturing, educational environment.  Camps begin on June 24th and end August 14th.   Your child may enroll in one, two, three or all four sessions.  To our delight, many children return year after year, as do the teachers and staff, making for a comfortable comradery between them.

Camp Discovery is for students entering 5th through 8th grades; Camp Summer Stars for 2nd through 5th grades and Summer Kids for Kindergarten through 1st grades.  Half-day options are available at Summer Kids.    Please note that trip weeks in Camp Discovery and Summer Stars fill up quickly.  Come join our summer family!  Don’t be left out!

Our 2015 Summer Fun program consists of our popular Summer Strings & Piano classes (led by Randolph Music teachers, Ms. Akopjan and Ms. Chiesa), Super Science Workshops for Kids, Garden State Golf Academy classes, Young Rembrandts’ art enrichment classes and introducing Camp Invention – an incredible experience for your child incorporating STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) that will motivate the students in collaborative groups while rotating through thematic modules.  Geared mainly towards children entering 1st through 6th grades, all Summer Fun programs will provide an educational summer experience whether it is learning a lifetime sport such as golf, developing or refining musical skills or exploring and building critical thinking skills and creativity through art, science or engineering.   All Summer Fun enrichment programs will be held between July 6th and July 24th (dates vary).

In all Community School programs, our professional, caring staff offers a safe, nurturing environment while providing thought-provoking, fun and enriching activities.  All staff members are required to undergo a background check, fingerprinting and approval by the Randolph Board of Education.

All programs are conveniently located in the Randolph District’s schools however, specific dates, times and locations vary by program.  For information or registration forms for any of the programs mentioned above, check out our website on the “Summer Programs” page under the Community School quick link at www.rtnj.org, or click here.  Registration forms are available at the bottom of the web page.

If you have questions or need more information, don’t hesitate to contact the Community School at 973-361-0808, x8603 or communityschool@rtnj.org.  All programs welcome non-Randolph residents as well.   We’re looking forward to seeing your child for a fun-filled, action-packed summer!
