RANDOLPH, NJ- Randolph’s Rotary Club is sponsoring the eighth annual Randolph Country Fair and Community Yard Sale this Saturday, Oct. 3 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Randolph municipal building on Millbrook Avenue in Randolph.
“There is something for everyone at this fair, if you haven’t come in the past please come out this year, expressed Mayor Joanne Veech.
Veech continued, “Even if you just come by for lunch, there are some great food vendors and free food giveaways such as Tamarack Day Camps’ famous Zeppoles.”
In addition to the yard sale, the fair will feature music and entertainment all day long, children’s rides and games, crafts, demonstrations, antique cars, emergency vehicles to explore, hayrides, pony rides, inflatable floats, food vendors, antique cars, pumpkin painting, craft and business vendors, music sponsored by local musicians, square dancing, martial arts demonstrations, and a dog costume parade.
At 1 p.m. The Economic Development Committee from the Randolph Township will be recognizing two local businesses as “Businesses of the Year” with a proclamation. TAP will be later reporting on this special acknowledment.
New this year is a bike safety rodeo for children age’s five to twelve. This free event, which includes an obstacle course and slow race, will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the municipal building. The township is sponsoring the rodeo.
Participants will also get a helmet check from Morristown Medical Center/NJ Safe Kids, receive a bike fit from Marty’s Reliable Cycle and receive a bike registration card from AAA along with free education materials and reflectors. No registration is needed but kids must bring a bicycle and helmet in order to participate.
The Friends of Randolph Pound will be holding a tricky tray with proceeds benefiting all of the homeless animals in the care of the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter. Plus, there will be beautiful kittens for adoption and Clifford the Big Red Dog will be on hand to meet and greet.
The yard sale will be located in the parking lot of the municipal building.
Important to Note: There is a rain date of Sunday Oct. 4. This year, And the announcement of using the rain date will be made by 6 p.m. on Friday Oct. 2.
