NEWTON, NJ - The Randolph freshman boys Basketball Team led by Head Coach Nick Lavender, won The 2016 Newton Holiday Tournament over winter break. A Holiday Tournament win has eluded Randolph for years...until now.

The Rams confidently handled Sparta 52-35 in the first game. High scorers included Brian Eames with 12 points, Christian Drake with 11 points and Ryan Martin with 10 points. The win earned Randolph Freshmen a spot in the Championship Game going up against the host school, Newton High School.

The two teams battled a competitive first two quarters, until Randolph pulled away in the 3rd quarter and kept the lead to win the Championship 63-47.  High Scorers were Ryan Ross with 20 points, Ryan Martin with 12 points and Daquan Hendrickson had 6 points.
