RANDOLPH, NJ- The Randolph Goddard School on Sussex Turnpike is celebrating their 15th year serving Randolph and the surrounding communities.  The school recently held a “Family Appreciation Day / Open House" to show off their incredible facility to families of current and prospective students, while introducing some of their new programs to parents.

In 2016, the Randolph Goddard School opened a “One of a kind” outdoor classroom / garden, set on one acre of land behind the building.  This addition to the curriculum is unlike anything else offered in the area, providing children with a unique learning experience that has drawn rave reviews since it opened last summer.

"Our outdoor classroom captivates a child’s imagination and engages all five senses,” said Anne Riczko, who originally opened Randolph Goddard School in 2001. “It provides a hands-on, interactive learning experience with gardens, orchards, nature trails and learning centers. Kids study insects in our “Bug Hotel”, tap our maple trees for sap, chase butterflies in their sanctuaries and listen to stories under our sunflower canopy.”

We partner with education experts to define and teach the skills and knowledge that children need to succeed in school and in life. Our School helps children develop communication, collaboration, creativity and critical-thinking skills to become school-ready, career-ready and life-ready.”

Every year, the Riczko family looks for ways to improve and grow the Randolph Goddard School, striving to maintain their excellent reputation, and 2017 is no different.  Some recent facility upgrades the school has implemented are: Additional interactive whiteboards, soccer fields, one-acre outdoor nature path and garden center, six-foot aluminum security fence, and an antimicrobial sanitization system.

Some new program features are: Additional outdoor classroom learning stations, Partnership for 21st Century Learning standards, STEAM curriculum, and electronic daily activity reports with pictures and videos.

The following is a list of daily enrichment programming which The Goddard School Offers to foster students self esteem, and set the foundation for a well-rounded healthy lifestyle.:

Gardening & Horticulture - Our unique one-acre outdoor classroom allows children to explore and discover their interests in a safe, natural environment. It includes nature paths, gardens, orchards and various outdoor learning centers.

Art History - Our program takes children on a journey through time and geography, from cave art to modern art, with projects ranging from painting to sculpting.

Music & Theater - This program is designed for your child to learn musical concepts through creative movement to recorded selections, live keyboard music and instrumental play. Children will build confidence, reading readiness and self-expression while having tons of fun!

World Cultures - This program promotes awareness and understanding in a culturally diverse world. We explore continents, countries and states. We turn our classrooms into whole new environments with crafts, food and more!

Kiddie Soccer & Elite TOMA Martial Arts - The primary goal of both programs is for children to have fun. Children will be introduced to the world’s most popular team sport, soccer, while instructors from Elite TOMA Martial Arts teach children character development, leadership and life skills.
