RANDOLPH, NJ- Randolph High School dancers on the high school dance team are improving their dance repertoire with a visit from a guest choreographer and a trip to New York City.

RHS Director of Dance Michele Adriano thanked the high school PTSO for sponsoring guest artist Thomas McKie to come to RHS and work with the dancers after school. "This was truly a wonderful experience for our students to work with such a great dance educator," Adriano said.

"It's been an awesome experience to learn from an outside choreographer and to learn a different style of dance that we are not used to," said high school senior Juliana Hirniak. "Authentic hip hop is much more difficult than I thought, but the hard work will definitely pay off when we perform Mr. Mckie's piece at the dance showcase in April."

On March 22, the dancers traveled to New York City to see the Broadway musical "Wicked" and take a master class at Broadway Dance Center. Adriano thanked the PTSO for valuing the importance of arts education.

"Going on the RHS dance trip to NYC was an unforgettable adventure!" said juniro Bianca Spagnuolo. "Being able to learn choreography from extremely well-known contemporary and Hip-Hop choreographers is not something every dancer gets to experience...and to be able to dance at Broadway Dance Center was crazy! Also being able to see Wicked on Broadway was a once in a life time opportunity. It was such a great trip and I am so glad I got to attend it!"
