RANDOLPH, NJ- The Randolph High School Drama Club will present the family musical Annie on March 17th at 7 pm and March 18th at 1 pm and 7 pm in the high school auditorium. A character “meet and greet” will follow the 1 pm matinee.
Based on the popular comic strip, Annie is the story of a young girl living in a New York City orphanage during the Great Depression. Annie is unlike most of the other girls at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. She optimistically believes that her parents are still alive and looking for her. When billionaire Oliver Warbucks wants to adopt her, Annie asks the powerful man in America to help her find her real parents instead. Con artists Rooster, Lily and the evil Miss Hannigan hatch a plan to kidnap Annie and take the reward from Mr. Warbucks. The plot takes several twists and turns but ultimately has a happy ending for little orphan Annie.
Tickets are $5 for students, children, and senior citizens, and $10 for adults. Visit www.RHStheater.org for tickets and more information.
