RANDOLPH, NJ- There is less than one month to register for Randolph Summer Academy courses. Students can earn credit in Algebra I, Geometry, or Personal Finance this summer. Students also have the option of combating summer slide by attending the Algebra I Refresher, a week-long math tutoring course for $150. Randolph Summer Academy classes are unique opportunities for students to get ahead.
These classes will give students opportunity outside of the traditional school year. Jonathan Olsen,
Director of Secondary Education, stated," As students develop differently, it is important that we give them opportunities to accelerate their learning, if desired, by offering math courses in the summer."
Students can opt to take either Algebra I or Geometry and enroll in a higher-level math course when the school year starts. Personal finance is an opportunity for students to fulfill this half-year state-mandated requirement and take a full-year elective like band, computer programming, or even another business course.
Olsen continued, "Randolph Township Schools is committed to providing different options for students to follow their own learning paths. This is the district’s first summer academy and is certainly something we would look to expand in future years.
More information about these courses can be found here.
Registration is open until May 15th.
****Precalculus and Personal Finance Session II, as advertised earlier, will not be running this summer due to lack of early enrollment.
