RANDOLPH, NJ- Randolph High School junior Charles Taibi played the role of a real life Santa Claus when he helped make Christmas season special for local underprivileged families this past December.
As a member of the RHS Key Club, Taibi organized a toy drive to benefit the Morristown Neighborhood house. For each toy that a student brought in to donate, they earned an hour of community service on their record.
“I decided to donate the toys to a local charity that would directly benefit those in need in our own back yard,” said Taibi. “Morristown Neighborhood House’s philosophy is to build better lives and stronger communities by helping individuals, families and new immigrants who are confronting economic and other life challenges.”
Taibi has no intentions of having his good deeds end there.
“During the spring I intend on running a drive to help benefit their summer camp program as well,” said Taibi.
