RANDOLPH, NJ- On Sunday December 2, 2018 all three Randolph High School competition cheerleading squads earned bids for the 2019 National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) to be held in Orlando, Florida on February 8-10, 2019.
In addition to receiving NHSCC bids at the UCA Empire Regional competition in Garden City, NY, Junior Varsity Coed and Game Day Coed each took home a first place trophy and Medium Varsity placed fourth out of 14 teams in a large, competitive division.
This will be the fourth time in as many years that RHS has been invited to compete at Nationals. In 2017, the RHS Game Day squad advanced to the final round at the NHSCC and came in third place in its division. RHS was featured on ESPN and its winning game day routine was shown in its entirety on national television.
The three RHS squads are comprised of 35 athletes who spend countless hours year-round perfecting their cheers, stunts, and dance through rigorous practice, conditioning, and strength training. The teams will compete in several local competitions over the next few months in preparation for Nationals.
RHS is pleased to announce that the Randolph Junior Rams earned a second place trophy and also earned a bid in the Senior Rec division at UCA Empire Regionals to attend Nationals in Orlando, Florida. This is the inaugural season of the Junior Rams who are comprised of 13 cheerleaders from 6th to 8th grade.
This is an exciting time for the Randolph Competition Cheerleading program as they continue to prepare and work hard for the NHSCC in February.
