$3000 raised to benefit Pediatric Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Randolph, NJ– The Kiwanis Club of Randolph Township hosted a Trick Tray in honor of Robert “RJ” Nelson III during one of their signature events, the Morristown CraftMarket. “RJ” was born 13 1/2 weeks premature and fought hard to live and thrive for 82 days (April 6, 2016 - June 27, 2016).

By hosting the Tricky Tray, the Randolph Kiwanis seeks to put the spotlight on premature birth, which is a national health crisis. Proceeds from the Tricky Tray benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Morristown Medical Center (“Sam’s NICU”), which helps premature babies and their families.

Claudia Nelson, RJ’s mother, spearheaded the tricky tray. She, along with other supporters of Sam’s NICU community, collected the donations, ran the booth and distributed the prizes. When the process was complete, the total amount of funds raised for Sam’s NICU was $3000.

This year, Morristown CraftMarket will be held October 20, 21 & 22. Claudia Nelson, her husband Bob Nelson and RJ’s twin sister Annalise Jane will once again be a part of this important fundraiser within a fundraiser, bringing awareness to Sam's NICU at Morristown Medical Center and premature birth.
