RANDOLPH, NJ- The 2015 Randolph Little League Baseball season came to a close when the Cardinals, who finished 15-1, captured their 2nd “Major League” title in a row, defeating the Twins 7-2.

Jimmy Pepe pitched 4 ½ innings for Cardinals to earn the win, with Sam Steinfink pitching in relief, and Aden Konigsberg closing out the game.

Andre Schiavone jump started the Cardinals early, belting a double in first inning to drive in two runs.  Schiavone then scored the Cards third run on a passed ball to grab a lead they would never relinquish.

Justin Townsend hit a single in 3rd driving in the Cards fourth run of the game, and Jimmy Pepe put the icing on the cake, hammering a 3-run homer in the 5th

Mitchell McKecknie went 2-for-2, with two singles in the game.

For the Twins, Ryan Szot pitched 6 innings, and although he took the loss, his performance was impressive as he struck out nine Cardinals batters.  At the plate, Dylan Gaudioso went 1-for-2 and drove in both Twins runs.
