RANDOLPH, NJ- The RMS Science Olympiad team did very well at the regional competition in January with students placing and earning medals in six out of the 13 events and placing 5th overall out of 20 middle schools which competed at NJIT.
The teams placed in the top six spots for each event earned medals. The team will now participate in the state competition on March 7 at Middlesex County College.
Anatomy and Physiology: 4th place- Priscilla Peters and Rachel Coombs
Fast Facts: 5th place- Nick Agostin and Victoria Zhong
Wright Stuff: 5th place- Christopher Keaney and Andrew Berkemeyer
Bottle Rockets: 6th place- Bala Saravanan and Connor McDermid
Dynamic Planet: 6th place- Drew Hull and Chris Sebastian
Picture This: 6th place- Nicole Schoenherr and Gili Krasner-Cohen
"Our team members showed great integrity and sportsmanship throughout the day as well," said team co-advisors Jessica Dingman and Cara Gilligan. "They represented RMS at its best and we are very proud of them."
