RANDOLPH, NJ- The Randolph Rage Blue 10 & Under Girls Fastpitch Softball Travel Team has opened the season at 7-0 after completing a tough stretch of games that included wins over Northwest Jersey Spring League rivals Mt. Olive, Passaic Valley, Roxbury, and Rockaway.

Including their perfect 3-0 performance in the pre-season Sparta Warm-Up Tournament, the Rage have won 10 straight games in the Spring season. They won the league championship in the Fall season.
 
Leading the charge on offense this season are Lizzy Morgievich, who is hitting .684 (13 for 19) with three doubles, four triples, and 18 runs batted in; Madison Molina, who is hitting .588 (10 for 17) with a double, a triple, and eight runs batted in; and Autumn Liebhauser, who is hitting .444 (8 for 18), with two doubles and 13 runs batted in. Allie Chupak leads the team with 15 runs scored to go along with a .400 batting average. Katie Gilligan and Rebecca Dasti are tied for the team lead in walks, with 10 each. Also setting the table are Samantha Niewiarowski, with a .522 on-base percentage; Lindsey Kudriavetz at .526; and Keira Ferraro at .500.

Strong pitching and a great defense has held opponents to only 30 runs in 10 games. Madeline Garretson has six wins and a save in the team's 10 games, with 56 strikeouts in 32 innings. She has allowed just 12 hits on the season and posts a 2.06 ERA. Aishlyn Cassells has made three starts, allowing just 8 hits while striking out 15 in 14 innings. Hannah Bermudez earned wins in both of her starts, holding opponents to 5 hits while striking out 17 in 7.2 innings.

Randolph will be playing Sunday, May 21, in the 10th annual Rich Atalese Memorial Softball Tournament in Long Valley.
