RANDOLPH, NJ- The Randolph girls lacrosse team picked a great way to celebrate senior night, getting nearly everyone involved in what became a big win over Boonton on Monday, May 4.

Senior Kelly McGinnis led the charge, scoring four goals and adding three assists for a team leading seven points on the game.   Overall, 14 girls made their way onto the stat sheet in what was a complete and total team effort.

Coach Gina Annunziata spoke about her seniors, stating, “I have had only the privilege of coaching them for the past two years. Over these two years I have seen a huge growth of pride and strength in these ladies. Each one has a unique personality that has been the driving force to stay positive and keep working for a post season.”

Coach Annunziata has a solid core of seniors mixed with some very talented youth, giving her a balanced team who has come together well.  Annunziata explained, “I am happy they are supportive of one another on and off the field. Right now I have about 3 senior starters who will be hard to be replace next year.”

In the Boonton game, McGinnis, who is the second leading scorer on the team, was supported by the first and third leading scorers, Taralyn Naslonski and Natalie Panvini, who each had two goals and an assist.  Nicole Pascale also contributed two goals and an assist on the game.  Ten other players scored one goal apiece, with the game score ending at 20-3.

Coach Annunziata was asked if she had a message for the outgoing seniors.  She stated, “My message would be ‘don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened’ by Dr. Seuss.”
