RANDOLPH, NJ- Students of the Randolph Speech and Debate team successfully competed at a tournament hosted by Yale University over Friday (Sept. 15) to Sunday (Sept. 17). As a great start of the year for the team, several students came back triumphant.
 

The 25th Annual Yale Invitational is a large national tournament hosted by Yale University where competitors from all over the nation come over to compete in their specialized events. Continuously growing in national prestige, the tournament hosted five debate events and six speech events.

Lauren Spencer (Senior) - Quarterfinalist in Dramatic Interpretation
Nicole Nissel (Junior) and Brianna Nissel (Freshman) - Semifinalists in Duo Interpretation

Semifinalist in Duo Interpretation, Brianna Nissel stated, "We were surprised, but the experience was good for us. Hope we can do well in the future." 

Her sister and duo partner, Nicole Nissel, followed with, "It's all about the fun, and we gained so many new friends from the experience. Loved watching all the performances." 


The team has worked hard for months in preparation for the tournament. The team looks forward to continue competing again this month, especially after such a strong start to the season.
