RANDOLPH, NJ- Santa Claus made the first of what will be a few appearances in Randolph this 2015 Winter Holiday Season when he stopped by the Recreation Center on the night of Saturday Dec. 5.

Every year, Mr. Claus comes by to help the Parks and Recreation committee kick off the winter Holidays by leading the children of Randolph in a countdown for the first official lighting of the Christmas tree.

After the Randolph Middle School Canzonetta Choir kicked the night off performing a series of Christmas and Holiday songs, children sipped on hot chocolate as their eyes grew wide in anticipation of seeing the Jolly gift giver from the North Pole.

Kids from all over town, regardless of whether they were naughty or nice, lined up to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

Santa will be back in town again in a couple weeks, taking his annual ride around Randolph on the township fire trucks.  He will be escorted by the Shongum fire department on Saturday Dec. 19 from 12-4 p.m. Rumor has it, that he may also ride with the Ironia fire department on a date to be announced.
