RANDOLPH, NJ- Randolph Memorial Post 7333 Veterans of Foreign Wars held a '9/11'
remembrance service on Sunday September 11th at 11am. The service was
attended by more than sixty patriotic members of the community.
NJ State Senator Tony Bucco, Asm. Anthony Bucco, Morris County Prosecutor
Fred Knapp, Mayor Roman Hirniak, Twp. Manager Steve Mountain, town council,
and first responders as well as veterans of the Post spoke and reminded
those in attendance of the sacrifices people made on that fateful day and
for the fifteen years that have followed.
The post was recognized for continuing to provide a 9/11 service for the community. Commander Scott Montanio, a Marine Corps veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, said, "Before leaving today,
lets’ pause to honor the victims and those who've selflessly sacrificed to
protect and defend our freedom by recommitting ourselves to our families, to
our communities and to our country."
The service was concluded with the singing of God Bless America.
