RANDOLPH, NJ - In an effort to gather student information, regarding the Randolph Middle School PTO run school store, an online survey was given to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students this past June.
The survey was created by the RMS PTO, with the support of the SGA (Student Government Association). RMS teachers facilitated the process during homeroom. The goals were twofold: improve general student satisfaction with the store including cost and quality and improve upon inventory by carrying specific products of student interest.
The data collected resulted in the majority of the students voting on the school store name “RMS Stop and Shoppe”. In addition, results showed that over 500 students want to see Technological Gadgets in stock such as iphone/ipad/ipod cases, screen cleaners, stickers and stands. While middle school students still need the core supplies used in the past, the technological era is upon us.
RMS PTO President Jennifer DeMelfi expressed, “With the rejuvenation of the school store and changes being made to products offered, the PTO feels that not only will the students find the products available more useful but the school store will be even more successful.”
The “RMS Stop and Shoppe” will be open on Monday, August 22, between the hours of 9:00am-2:00pm, during the annual summer walk through. The traditional school supplies listed on the 2016-2017 Teacher Supply Lists will be available to purchase with discounted pricing. (Cash or Check will be accepted)
In addition, new products requested by the students in the survey will be unveiled at this time! The school store will also be open during lunch for students on Wednesday September 7 through Friday September 9 (Cash only )
