RANDOLPH, NJ- Due to the strong winds, the township was greatly impacted by this afternoon's severe storm. Ninety percent of the town is without power and there are trees and wires down throughout the community.

JCP&L has begun dispatching crews and is out making repairs to restore service. The township DPW crews along with our police and fire departments are working diligently to clear trees, open roadways and respond to emergent situations.

Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled with trees or other debris. Motorists are cautioned to treat intersections with inoperable traffic signals as four-way stops and never drive through flooded roadways.

If you have an emergent situation please call 911. Call JCP&L at 1-888-544-4877 to report power outages, or click the “Report Outage” link at the JCP&L website . JCP&L reminds customers to stay away from downed wires, even if they believe they are no longer carrying electricity.
