My name is Lance Tkacs and I am running for re-election to the Randolph Town Council.
Participating on many committees and subcommittees over the years I found the design committee for the 90-acre park on Calais Road, now known as Veterans Community Park to be the most rewarding. The process was fascinating and started with input from our entire community. From there we had to do environmental assessments and geological studies to see what parts of the property could be developed and identify constraints.
As we went through the process, I could not help but appreciate that this was not only an opportunity to improve our community, but also a responsibility that must be handled with the utmost care and planning. We also knew we were using the Open Space Trust fund budget that had limits, and that we had to use the monies as efficiently as possible. Fortunately, we had an experienced consultant who guided us through the process.
I believe it will be an awesome park that will be enjoyed by the residents of Randolph for generations to come. I look forward to the Park’s dedication October 17th, and the grand opening this coming year!
Please vote for Lance Tkacs by November 3rd. I have been working earnestly and sincerely to earn your vote.
