My name is Lance Tkacs and I am running for re-election to the Randolph Town Council.
As a mechanical engineer, the one area of town business that I like to focus on is infrastructure. I have a natural curiosity to understand how systems work, and how to improve flawed, aging, or just plain worn out assets in our town. I volunteer to serve on numerous committees and subcommittees that routinely look at these areas and determine which are priorities and what needs to be budgeted for in future years.
One area that everyone notices is the annual re-paving of Randolph’s worst roads. Each year, a complicated matrix of data for each street is analyzed and compiled to give each street a quality rating. The lowest scores are then totaled until we reach the allotment budgeted for paving, which this year was close to $1 million! Due to excellent budgeting and financial planning, we fund this paving through our general fund, instead of bonding (borrowing) like many other towns.
Other recently active topics have been the continued build-out of our sewer and water systems, stormwater basin maintenance, retaining wall replacement, recycling and solid waste, and new leaf collection policies.
Also, I would like to give a “shout out” to our DPW which does a phenomenal job in keeping the town looking great!
Please vote for Lance Tkacs this election. I work hard to protect our town assets and improve services to our residents.
