RANDOLPH, NJ – Tutor.ly announces the launch of a new, free online tutoring platform for students, created by students from Randolph. This program helps nurture students’ curiosity, guide them towards their passions, and inspire success. We work with high school volunteers who are highly accomplished in both core and enrichment subjects as well as volunteer within their community. We have an inclusive culture and strive to create an environment where students can practice life skills such as collaboration, communication and critical thinking.

With Tutor.ly, the prospective students or their parents can use a platform to self-select their tutor based on their profiles, email the tutor for more information, and schedule a tutoring session right on our website. The core subject offerings include math, science, history, ELA/literature, social studies/history and foreign language. For enrichment subjects, they offer biotechnology, computer science, robotics, culinary arts, finance and international business, healthcare, law & public safety, music and instruments, and visual and performing arts.

“We created Tutor.ly because the Covid-19 pandemic opened our eyes to the great amount of unemployment and struggles newly introduced. It has altered lifestyles, put families in isolation both financially and physically, and essentially has changed everything that used to be familiar to us. However, we decided to embrace this and turn this challenge into a new opportunity. Tutor.ly is free, and 100% virtual, so it is affordable, accessible year-round regardless of location, and provides service to those in need from the comfort of their homes, helping society beat this pandemic one step at a time,” says Kae, the co-CEO of Tutor.ly.

Due to Covid-19, the pair realized that the need for online learning has skyrocketed, but not everyone can afford it. Considering this, they decided to make Tutor.ly free of charge. Since Tutor.ly was created by 13-year-old high school students, they feel can better understand the students’ needs and relate better with our clients.

“As I am a computer science major and Kae is a multimedia major, we saw how the pandemic quickly changed our lives and created a new norm that required more advanced technological solutions such as the need for virtual connectivity. With the implementation of distance learning and shifting in-person events to strictly virtual sessions, we jumped on the opportunity to create an online tutoring platform to share our passions and experiences with other students. This pandemic will not get the best of us. We learned to be more resilient and adaptable, and we’re ready to embrace the new norm,” Ky says, co-CEO of Tutor.ly.
