RANDOLPH NJ- The Rams remained unbeaten in their 2013-2014 season by securing a win against #11 ranked Morristown Beard on Friday Dec. 27.  Randolph, ranked #6 in the state, overcame a 1-0 deficit and won 2-1, moving their record to 4-0-1 on the year.

It was Junior Center Tyler Jones who sparked the Rams to victory with a strong second period in which he had a hand in both Randolph goals.  Trailing 1-0 midway through the second, Jones carried the puck behind the net, and found Defenseman Brendan Siegal open at the point.  Seigal took Jones’s pass and blasted a shot through traffic that found the net for the equalizer.

About the second period outburst, Jones said  “After a tough first period, we came out fired up for the second and were able to finish off a very talented Morristown Beard team.”

And finish them off he did.  Only two and a half minutes after his assist on the game tying goal, he took a pass from TJ Lindquist and fired a wrist shot through a screen for the game winner.  About the goal, Jones said “TJ made a great pass from down low, and I was able to bury it.”

Jones and Lindquist's other linemate, Christopher Holowko, had the second assist on the game winner.  Garret Stenberg was in goal and made 18 saves on the night, as he and the traditionally strong Rams defense kept the game in check to secure their fourth win of the season.
