Don’t Complain; Vote!
It’s no secret that people have strong feelings about what’s happening in our country. It’s also true that much of politics is local. In November, 11th District residents will have the opportunity to choose a new congressional representative who will not only serve as a critical check on the federal level, but also determine how our distract fares around critical issues like transportation, taxes, and the environment. There are many ways to get involved, but the most fundamental is by exercising our sacred right – and obligation – to vote. (And voting with the “like” button on Facebook doesn’t count!)
There are some important voting deadlines coming up. Please make sure to mark your calendars and be an active citizen. Nothing less than our democracy depends on it.
April 11 – Primary – Deadline for Party Affiliation Declaration (Those registered with a party wishing to vote in another party’s primary must change affiliation by this date; unaffiliated voters may declare for a party any time up to and including at the polls on Primary Day.)
