Having served on Randolph Town Council 2002 – 2012, including terms as Deputy Mayor and Mayor, I know first-hand the work of former Chief Financial Officer Michael Soccio, former Township Manager John Lovell and previous councils which led to Standard and Poor’s issuing a Triple A bond rating for Randolph in 2010.
Former Councilman Mr. Roman Hirniak, who is running in the Primary in June would have township residents believe that it was through his work alone in a previous term on the council, which led to Randolph Township being issued a triple a rating from Moody’s in 2015. He conveniently omitted to acknowledge that Randolph Township already enjoyed a triple A rating from Standard and Poor’s before he served on the council from 2013- 2016.
I believe Randolph Township will be better served by the team of Councilman and former Mayor Jim Loveys, Mayor Mark Forstenhausler, Marie Potter and Lou Nisivoccia. They have devoted countless hours serving Randolph Township in various volunteer endeavors for many years. The humility they demonstrate in their various volunteer roles and the collective professional and life experience they possess, is exactly what Randolph Township needs to preserve the quality of life so many enjoy and ensure its continued financial strength.
