On April 2, 2019 A Foxwood Lane resident reported damage to her mailbox and post by unknown party or vehicle.

On April 3, 2019 Sergeant Jeff Goral, P.O. Nick Francica, and P.O. David Spence along with the Randolph Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in the woods behind a residence on Everdale Rd.  It was determined that the fire was in a fire pit placed in the woods by the resident.  A NJ Forest Fire Service Official on scene informed the resident that is illegal to start an open burn and that he could be issued a summons for the violation.  Resident stated he was not aware it was illegal.

On April 4, 2019 a business on Sussex Turnpike reported a theft of property from outdoors valued at approximately $300.

 On April 5, 2019 to P.O Officer Salvatore Grosso took a report from Randolph resident in regards to possible credit card fraud.  Someone opened a credit card in her name and made purchases in the amount of approximately $300. The items were shipped to the victim’s home. 

On April 9, 2019 P.O. James Pritchard took a report from a resident on theft of his identity.  The victim received a bill from AT&T for a wireless account he did not open. He also received another letter from a credit card company whereas someone attempted to obtain credit in his name, but was unsuccessful.

On April 10, 2019 P.O. James Pritchard took a report from a victim of an attempted Theft by Deception. The victim received an email at his place of employment asking him to purchase 5- $100 ‘ITUNES’ gift cards.  Victim came to realize after purchasing the cards that this was a scam.

On April 13, 2019 P.O. Christopher Carbonaro responded to a call of possible intoxicated driver. Following the motor vehicle stop, the driver, Norman P Jere age 60 of Box Elder, SD was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and issued summonses for other Motor Vehicle violations.  Mr. Jere was processed and given a date to appear in Randolph Twp. Municipal Court.

On April 15, 2019, Following a traffic stop, P.O. Daniel Sullivan arrested Javier E Del Castillo-Montes age 26 of Randolph, NJ for two outstanding warrants out of Randolph Twp. and Dover, NJ. He posted bail and was released.  Mr. Del Castillo- Montes was also issued summonses for motor vehicle violations.

On April 15, 2019 Officers Ian Green and Bryan Blauvelt responded to a report of a working fire on Jennifern Ave.  Upon arrival fire was found to be a large tree next to a residence. The tree was likely struck by lightning during electrical storm during the evening causing the fire.  Randolph Fire Company #2 responded and was able to extinguish the fire. 

On April 21, 2019 following a motor vehicle stop Josue C Silva age 53 of Dover, NJ was arrested by P.O. Christopher Carbonaro on an active warrant out of Denville, NJ.  Mr. Silva was issued summonses for motor vehicle violations; he was released and given dates for mandatory court appearances in Randolph and Denville Municipal Courts.

On April 23, 2019 A Randolph resident reported a possible fraud attempt. The victim had recently been at Chinese Embassy in preparation for travel plans to China.  Victim received a suspicious call from someone claiming to be from the embassy asking for personal identifiable information. Victim had cause to believe the call was a fraud attempt being is usually takes multiple days for the embassy to process requests.  

On April 24, 2019 following a motor vehicle stop Valmy Sepulveda age 67 of Wharton, NJ was arrested by P.O Ian Green on an outstanding ATS Contempt warrant out of Randolph NJ Municipal Court.  Mr. Sepulveda posted bail and was released

On April 25, 2019 there were several reports throughout town of burglaries to vehicles.  The incidents are under investigation.

On April 28, 2019 Patrol responded to a Center Grove residence on report of something burning.  Upon arrival it was found that the owners were burning building materials in an open pit in the back yard.  Resident was advised they are not permitted to burn building materials nor have an open burn without a permit, resident stated they were unaware it was unlawful to do so.  Randolph Fire Official spoke to owner about state laws relating to open burning.  Fire was extinguished by Randolph Fire Department.
