RANDOLPH, NJ —On Friday, Feb. 2 Pediatric Dental Associates of Randolph participated in the American Dental Association’s Give Kids A Smile Day (GKAS), providing free dental care to local children who desperately needed it.
The children all received comprehensive exams, x-rays, cleanings and fluoride treatments. Many of the children participating in the program this day had not had regular dental care as their families are unable to afford it as they lack dental insurance.
Giving back to the community is something held in high regard at Pediatric Dental Associates of Randolph. “Participating in GKAS is a natural fit for our practice as we support kids and families throughout the year in many different ways” said Dr. Aaron Mannella, the practice’s founder
Dr. Geena Russo, one of the pediatric dentists at Pediatric Dental Associates of Randolph expressed the sentiment of the entire office that came together for GKAS Day, “Our team had a great time meeting new patients and their families for GKAS day. The opportunity to provide treatment and to teach these children and their parents how to better care for their teeth was such a positive experience for everyone.”
To make the day even more special for these kids, Patti Meyer, also known as Tweedles the Clown contributed to the special atmosphere of the day by making her amazing balloon sculptures for every child. The partnership between Pediatric Dental Associates and the GKAS program enabled many children to leave the Randolph office that day with bright shiny smiles.
