RANDOLPH, NJ- With the novel COVID-19 Coronavirus causing a worldwide pandemic, there has been a lot of confusion and panic in recent months on how to handle all the unprecedented situations the world has been thrown into. At most retail stores nationwide, there has been a massive run on hand sanitizer, soap, Clorox wipes, and a host of other items as individuals and businesses attempt to keep all the surfaces around them clean.
But what should someone do if they have concerns about their house, business, school, vehicle, or any other area that may have been exposed to COVID-19, or if they themselves tested positive?
Servpro of SW Morris County, located on Sussex Turnpike, has been helping the Randolph community with cleanup and restoration from fire, flood, mold, and storm damage for over 19 years. They now stand ready to assist in any needs for cleanup of COVID-19.
“Servpro is very experienced with deep cleaning and sanitizing,” said owner Greg Bock. “The timeframe of cleaning will vary with the size of rooms, horizontal surfaces, doors, windows, and all areas that may contain the Virus.”
Cleanup procedures generally include cleaning of porous and non-porous surfaces, disinfecting non-porous surfaces, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, tools, and/or supplies. The CDC recommends usage of a labeled “hospital grade” disinfectant, which Servpro has in their proprietary ServprOXIDE product that already has dozens of EPA-approved claims against viruses.
“The biggest aspect of this Virus is the confusion and ever-changing info,” said Bock. “If anyone has questions or concerns, they can email us at Servpro8811@optonline.net or call our office at 973-895-5000.”
