Of the 207 cases: 35 households have more than one individual; 13 individuals are currently hospitalized; 75 individuals have had symptoms resolve and can return to normal activities.

It is with great sadness that we report 2 additional fatalities, bringing the total to 14. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones. The families have requested that no further information be released.

Included in the numbers above: 19 of the cases and 9 of the fatalities are associated with long-term care facilities; 5 of the 13 individuals currently hospitalized are residents of these facilities.

All individuals considered to be close contacts of the confirmed cases are contacted and asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Effective today, April 20, the State established a new summary providing specific information on long term care facility cases and fatalities. The summary can be found on the State Department of Health Website at https://covid19.nj.gov/index.html#live-updates. Please note that the fatality information included on the State website includes those which were not confirmed by laboratory testing. Additionally, the case and fatality information listed on the site was self-reported by the facilities, and is not from a verified State database and may not reflect real-time data. As a result, the information on the State site does not correspond with the long term care case and fatality information the township has been releasing to date, which is more current and includes only those verified by laboratory confirmed test.
