RANDOLPH, NJ- The following is an update from Randolph Township :
Over the last several days we have received kind words from residents about our daily updates, and we appreciate each one. Residents have also responded very positively to the announcement in Saturday’s update about the township food pantry and we thank everyone for supporting it with donations and with offers to volunteer! For more information on the township’s food pantry, please call 973-989-7084. This is an unusual time for all of us, and we appreciate your continued patience and support. Below is a summary of the most recent information/actions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of today, there are 41,090 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New Jersey, 1,956 of which are in Morris County. Eleven new cases in Randolph were confirmed, bringing the total to 107. Of the 107 cases, twenty households have more than one individual. Ten individuals are currently hospitalized. All individuals considered to be close contacts of the confirmed cases are in the process of being reached and asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
Our thoughts and prayers continue for the families of the two residents who died last week.
Six of the cases and one of the fatalities included in the above numbers are associated with long-term care facilities. Four of the ten individuals currently hospitalized are residents of these facilities.
