Your continued patience during this ongoing health emergency is appreciated. The following is a
summary of the most recent information/actions related to the COVID-19 outbreak.


CONFIRMED CASES
As of today, there are 1,327 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New Jersey, 64 of which are in Morris
County including 13 confirmed cases in Randolph. Five of the 13 confirmed cases are associated with
two households. None of the individuals is currently hospitalized. All individuals considered to be close
contacts of the confirmed cases are in the process of being reached and asked to self-quarantine for 14
days.

We acknowledge that residents are concerned about contact with those who have tested positive;
however, pursuant to State and Federal law, we are prohibited from releasing the identity or any
identifying details associated with these individuals.


STATE UPDATE
Governor Murphy announced today that he has signed two new Executive Orders, numbers 107 and 108,
which he termed “stay at home orders.” The new orders direct all gatherings cancelled, and all non-
essential businesses close and/or enact work from home services effective 9 p.m. this evening, Saturday,
March 21, 2020. The orders supersede all prior executed County and/or local restrictions.

COUNTY UPDATE
Morris County announced that they, in coordination with the State of New Jersey, have begun the
process of creating the infrastructure of a drive through coronavirus testing site at the County College of
Morris in Randolph. The opening of the facility is contingent on the receipt of necessary medical
equipment, which is to be provided by the state.

LOCAL UPDATE
Randolph Township Library – in accordance with the order of Governor Murphy (Executive Order No.
104) the Randolph Library, which has been closed to the public, will now no longer be circulating material.
It is not necessary to return materials during the closure as no fines will be charged until April 30 or the
library reopens, whichever is later. Digital resources such as e-books, e-audiobooks, downloadable
magazines, Tumblebooks and Tumblemath, etc. can still be accessed. If you have trouble accessing
these resources or for technical support, please feel free to contact the library at 973-895-3556 during
business hours. Hours will be as follows: Monday-Thursday: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm; Friday-Saturday: 9:00
am to 5:00 pm; Sunday: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
