RANDOLPH, NJ- Hundreds of families spent a fun-filled day at Ironia Elementary School Feb. 9 when the school was transformed into Candyland. Students and volunteers spent countless hours to create the artwork that lined the halls with lollipops, gumdrops, candy canes and more where families enjoyed face painting, bounce houses, magic shows, crafts, a DJ, pizza and hot dogs and a bake sale.

Highlights included the always popular basket raffle, a Randolph High School cabaret and Shrek musical performance, and the teacher's challenge where Principal David Kricheff, Vice Principal Thomas Rathjen and teachers competed to shake ping pong balls out of tissue box belts, suction the most M&Ms through a straw into a bowl and finally answering questions with their mouths stuffed with marshmallows.

Mrs. Janice Friedland was victorious and earned her students extra recess time for her very supportive class who helped her find items for the event scavenger hunt including a gum drop decoration and a lollypop.
