RANDOLPH, NJ- Shongum School named spelling bee winner fourth grader Eenakshi Dhar and runner up fifth grader Andrew Walker. Both students said they studied spelling words every day for the past few weeks to prepare for the big event. The top spellers from each fourth and fifth grade class competed at the event in the school's all-purpose room which lasted 24 rounds on May 2.

Co-teachers Toni Compel and Jessica Velez organized the event. Eenaskshi was so excited about her victory that she was speechless and gave two thumbs up when asked how she felt about her achievement.
