RANDOLPH, NJ- The National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook at 4:31 AM Sunday morning for Northern New Jersey (Morris County). We are currently monitoring the weather data as it relates to the anticipated snow for tomorrow, Monday, December 16 and Tuesday, December 17.
The forecast data for Monday suggests that the bulk of the snow will hold off until late Monday night into Tuesday morning. We have a chance of flurries for tomorrow (Monday) but nothing that concerns us at this time. The additional snow is anticipated Monday evening into Tuesday, with periods of light snow and freezing rain throughout the day Tuesday with the accumulation of a dusting to 2” of mixed snow and ice.
There are models that show a range of 2-4” of snow in some areas in Morris County depending on elevation. The snow and ice may result in travel impacts, especially for the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.
We will continue to monitor the weather data and evaluate it again tomorrow (Monday). We will provide another update, if it becomes necessary.
