RANDOLPH, NJ-The Randolph Township Police Department would once again like to remind residents to remove personal belongings from vehicles and to lock them even when parked in your driveway or garage. In addition, never leave the keys and/or key FOB inside the vehicle.

During the overnight hours Sunday, May 10 into Monday, May 11, the police department, along with another neighboring municipality, again experienced several incidents where vehicles were stolen out of the driveway or were attempted to be stolen.

As with past incidents, the vehicles were left unlocked with the keys and/or vehicle key FOBs inside. Over the past few years, this has been an ongoing problem in Morris County. Do not make yourself an easy target—simply lock your vehicle and remove valuables. Please report suspicious people and/or vehicles at the time the incident is occurring.
