RANDOLPH, NJ- Bragging rights for the 2019 Randolph Mens Master Softball League ( 35 and over ) officially go to the team sponsored by Noches De Columbia, who took home the championship on Monday July 29.
With a regular season record of 10-7, the team entered the playoffs as the No. 3 seed. The regular season for the league was super competitive and balanced, with the top six teams separated by only two games.
The playoffs were the typical double elimination format, and Noches went 4-0 to take the crown unscathed. After knocking off NJ Bar and Grill in the first round, they defeated Pizza Pub in round two before sending No. 1 seed Randolph Diner down to the loser bracket.
In the Championship, NJ Bar and Grill was again the foe as they came out of the losers bracket to earn a chance at the championship. With NJ Bar needing to win twice, Noches never gave them the chance at the second game as they took care of business with a 23-19 victory to win the title.
The team Roster: Tim Murphy – Captain, Frank Sallo, Gary Colucci, Rich Toscano, Brian Raymore, Casey Legora, Mike Reisch, Randy Shupe, Mike Galari, Steve Wigdor, Mark Schachter, CJ Chirico, Steve Oakey, Jeff Volk, Ray Meyers, Vince Basciano, Larry Sotsky, Leigh Bodnar, Brian Kenny, Jake Levine, Scott Whitman.
