RED BANK, NJJBJ Soul Kitchen of Toms River JBJ Soul Kitchen is simultaneously hosting their annual Friends and Family Community Resource with its highly popular “Every Bowl Feeds a Soul,” Empty Bowls pottery event.pdf  JBJ Soul Kitchen also has a facility in Red Bank on Monmouth Street.

This free event takes place on Saturday, September 14th,  from 12:00 - 3:00 PM at JBJ Soul Kitchen Toms River (located at 1769 Hooper Avenue in Toms River in The B.E.A.T. Center complex).

Several organizations will be on hand to distribute information on local programs and services available to the community.

The party will be run by Home Run Party Entertainment and has free child-friendly activities such as face painting, temporary tattoos and balloon animals.

Every Bowl Feeds a Soul event will offer handmade ceramic bowls will be available for a $20 donation. 

Proceeds will go to Pay It Forward as a part of an ongoing effort to raise awareness on food insecurity issues in our area.

Light refreshments throughout the event and the restaurant will be open for dinner from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

“At first when the project started, our goal was simply selling handmade pottery bowls to benefit the Pay It Forward program for someone in need to have a meal at JBJ Soul Kitchen.”  As the event continued to expand, “... a community of students, artists, organizations and businesses joined our efforts.  Many hands make this project work.  Every bowl really does feed a soul!” said Mil Wexler Kobrinski, ceramic arts professor and studio owner

Brie Niciewiski, Community Coordinator at JBJ Soul Kitchen Toms River shares her excitement, “I am glad to be involved in this event and watch the community gather to raise awareness for our mission.”  Brie joined the JBJ Soul Kitchen family in November 2018 and said, “Since I started at JBJ Soul Kitchen it has been amazing to see how organizations are connected to provide the best programs and services for residents of Toms River.”

“Bringing the arts, a meal for those in need and delicious food together is at the heart of what we do at JBJ Soul Kitchen.” Known as a favorite among JBJ Soul Kitchen supporters, the event provides community fun with a piece of awareness, “We look forward to welcoming all to the table!” said Lou Morreale, General Manager at JBJ Soul Kitchen.
