LITTLE FALLS, NJ -- TAPintoTV Executive Producer Brian Brodeur spoke with Ethan Hundley, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Tax Coach (CTC) about his firm and how he can help clients proactively structure their taxes to save money.  Brodeur and Hundley spoke via video conference from East Main Media’s studio, which has been reconfigured to accommodate remote interviews due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hundley, who is the CEO of Hundley Advisors, a firm founded by his father 30 years ago, said that most of his clients are small to midsize companies, and many initially reach out to him when there’s an emergency. Of course, he can handle those situations, but “what I do is a little more proactive,” Hundley said. “That’s what I’ve gravitated and transitioned my firm to over the recent years.”

Many of us are familiar with CPAs, but being a CTC holds additional benefits and access to information. “What that allows me to do is actually prepare a tax plan for a business to let them understand, by using actual, specific federal and state tax code, how they can actually save money on their taxes,” Hundley said.

While he does have services and plans which can help families, he’s not really the guy to call just to get your taxes filed. “I’m not looking for a transaction,” Hundley explained. “Mainly businesses are who I can help most because it’s an ongoing relationship to make sure I navigate how they’re growing,” said Hundley.
