RED BANK, NJ: After voting to approve a $17.3 million referendum in late 2018, the construction of a new roof, an addition of ten classrooms and remodeling of the media center has been completed for the Red Bank Regional High School.
There’s nothing like new - it looks fantastic.
$15.5m was allocated for a new roof, addition of ten classrooms and remodeling of the media center. Replacement of the sports field with artificial turf and the addition of a new concession stand with restrooms added another $1.8m. A total of $4.9m of State aid was secured.
The Woodward Construction Company of Matawan was awarded an $8.1m contract for the major addition.
“The three sending districts of RBR overwhelmingly approved a bond referendum in 2018 to upgrade the facility, build future-ready learning spaces, and ensure RBR remains one of the finest high schools in the state. We will begin utilizing the new spaces later in January as this phase of the project draws to a close,” said Dr. Louis Moore, Superintendent.
As we move forward and put COVID 19 behind us, RBR students will have access to a state-of-the-art media center, new facilities, and 10 new classrooms. The BOE's leadership and strong community support has been essential for the success of this project.”
