RED BANK, NJ: Recognized as a federal holiday in 1983, Americans celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the civil rights leader on the third Monday in January.

All Red Bank offices will be closed today, January 18, and trash will be picked up.

As one of the 10 federal holidays observed in the U.S., banks and post offices will be closed.
